Cookies, in plain English
We run a course platform, not an ad network. So this page is short. It lists the one cookie we set, what it remembers and how long it stays. You can change your answer at any time.
What a cookie does here
Three jobs. Only one of them is required.
A cookie is a tiny text file your browser keeps for a site. Ours do the work below and nothing else.
-
Strictly needed
These keep the basics working. They remember your consent choice and keep a signed-in session together. Turn them off and the site forgets you between pages.
Always on
-
Preference
These hold small settings you picked yourself. Your place in a lesson is the clearest example. Without them a course restarts from the top each visit.
On with your choice
-
Measurement
These count lessons finished and pages read, in aggregate. They tell us which modules people drop. Refusing them costs you nothing on the site.
Only after Allow all
The full list
Every cookie this site writes itself.
One entry, and you can check it. Open your browser tools after you answer the card. The name below is the only one we add.
| Name | Type | What it is for | Lifespan | Origin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
study_prefs | Strictly needed | Stores the answer you gave the cookie card plus the day you gave it, so the card does not ask again. | 12 months | Set by this site |
We add no advertising cookies. If we ever add measurement tools, they will load only after you press Allow all. This table is updated in the same release.
Your controls
Four ways to hold the switch.
-
01
Answer the card
The small card in the corner has two buttons. Allow all, or Essential only. Either answer is recorded and the card goes away.
-
02
Change your mind
Clear cookies for this domain in your browser. The card comes back on your next visit and you can pick the other option.
-
03
Use browser controls
Every major browser can block or delete cookies per site. Those settings sit above ours and we respect them.

Common questions
Short answers, no legal fog.
Still unsure? Write to us. We answer cookie questions the same way we teach: plainly, with the detail you asked for.
Contact the teamDo I need to accept cookies to take a free lesson?
No. Free intro modules play either way. Choosing Essential only means the player will not remember where you stopped.
Do you sell what the cookies record?
No. We do not sell or rent cookie data. It is used to run the site and to improve the courses we build.
What about cookies from video or payment providers?
A provider may set its own cookie while you watch a lesson or pay. That file is theirs and their policy governs it.
How often does this policy change?
Only when the tools behind the site change. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
Policy read. Now pick a skill to use on Monday.
Every course page shows the curriculum, the instructor and the assignments before you pay. Start with a free module if you prefer.
